Another Year with Graphic 45, can't believe it.

It is 11.30pm local time and I am just leaving the store after a late night Scrap. Nat has just checked Graphic 45's Blog and found my name on the list. Still shaking and can't quite believe it. Had heart palpitations while reading the list. Wow another year with my favorite company so privilege and delighted. Congratulations to all the talented people on the list. Speical Whoo hoo for fellow design team member from Imaginarium Designs - Maiko and a special Whoo Hoo Hoo for Gloria - fellow Graphic 45 team member from the past two years and fellow Imaginarium Design team mate.
Will have to visit every one's Blog and leave messages tomorrow. I am feeling sorry for those who did not make the list, who must be feeling a big sad. Also want to say special goodbys to the other design team members from last year who did not make it again this year.
I have this project to share, it was featured on Graphic 45's Blog last week but I decided to hang on to it as a final piece to show if I didn't make the team. I had quite a few emails in regards to how I made it, so if you want me to post a couple of tutorials on making it then you had better leave a comment ask me to do it. If enough of you would like it then I will post the instructions (I hate writing instructions - but it is good for the soul to do things you don't like doing to make up for all the things you get to do that you like doing!)

Have to go to bed now as I have another big day ahead tomorrow with 25 ladies in the store doing a mini half day scrap.
thanks for looking.
From a very Happy Jane.

3L Adhesive Design Team for 2012

Now I can share some exciting  news. I have been invited to join the 3L Adhesive Design Team for 2012. I am a bit fan of their products, they make the some amazing foam squares and black photo corners of which I go through packets and packets. I have yet to visit and meet all the other team members blogs, will try and do this later today, as I am teaching this morning. Now all I need to do is make the Graphic 45 team and "my cup will be running over". I sent them a book, one of my best to date, hopefully I will be able to share some photo's later on.
So that's all for now, I do have a project from Graphic 45 that I want to share on my blog, will have to do it over the weekend.
Thanks so much for looking.

Another Layout for Graphic 45

Hello everyone
One of my layouts from CHA is on Graphic 45's Blog. It is one I did on the two most important men in my life.
I love the new “Olde Curiosity Shoppe” papers. This is a layout I did on my husband and son. They are on a ride at Water World (QLD) I started with two cardstocks, the first one was black with an aqua blue cardstock on top. I then put a piece of “Exquisite Motif” which is one of my favourite prints. I used “Olde Curiosity Shoppe" print for the diamond frame, which I double matted in black and terra cotta. Then I layered it on top of “Exquisite Motif”. I place another piece of “Exquisite Motif on top of the “Old Curiosity Shoppe" paper (I used the reverse side). This gave me a wonderful foundation on which to do my layout. I double matted my photo and added it to the page. I added some brads in the corners. I love adding layers to my work so I added a piece of ”Optical Oddities” over lapping the photo. A piece of “When Pigs Fly” for the title and “Optical Oddities” for the stripes. I used a penny farthing bike backed with a piece of “Counting Down” I used a staples brad from Graphic 45 to attach it to the page . The chipboard title, boarder, flourish, bike and clock is all from Imaginarium Designs. I love all the strong colours in the layout. Even though the prints look floral, the page is still masculine and suits my boys perfectly.
I am not a ride kinda Girl, so when the boy's told me that the pirate ship ride was ok, I was a bit skeptical as I don't even like the ferris wheel! I was persuaded to get on the ride with the condition that the boys would sit in front of me and face me, so I could get a photo. I will never get on that ride again. I took the photo only a couple of seconds into it. By the time the ride really got going, I had my eyes tightly shut and hanging on for grim death, with my bottom leaving the seat at the top of the ride. Never - Never again, not even for a million photos.

  2. Have you caught up on the news that I am doing a feature in every Scrapbook Creations magazine for the rest of the year! I am doing a tutorial for my little squares project in their magazine every second month, the other month it will be on their online magazine. I taught this project at the Brisbane expo last year and promised the ladies I would do more and put the kits online. Well it has finally happened, the kits are online at Seriously Scrapbooking. The first kit is  online with the second and third kit to be released on the 14th of March. Seriously Scrapbooking do post overseas, although the website is not quite set up for it yet. Just email them and they will let you know how to go about it. They can also send you the cost of postage before you pay, so you know up font how much it will cost. To make a project like Diane's you will need about 10 different kits. Beware - this form of scrapbooking is highy addictive!  Seriously Scrapbooking have sold nearly 100 1st kits. It is so nice to think that so many ladies want to make one of my projects.
  3. Sam and I have also been working on some of the layouts I have done for Graphic 45 over the past two years and writing instructions  for them, we will be releasing a couple of kits each month with this one being available on the 14th of March. The patchwork kits and new layouts will be released together on the 14th of each month. Our plan is to get about 20 layouts done by the end of the year. I also hope to get some altered art kits done as well.
  4. I am teaching at the Brisbane Scrapbooking and Papercraft Expo (hope I got this the right way round) June long weekend. I am doing 9 classes for Seriously Scrapbooking and Imaginarium Designs. I will be using Graphic 45 papers for all three projects. I know that one will be a patchwork project, a male layout and a female layout. All three projects will be using Graphic 45's new Olde Curiosity Shoppe papers. You can start booking into my classes at the end of March on the Brisbane Scrapbooking and Papercraft Expo. I will put a link on the side of my blog in a day or two.
  5. If you are a store owner or teacher, I am doing some master classes at printblocks late April, you can contact them to book into my classes.
  6. For CHA Graphic 45 asked if any of the design would like to demonstrate. I put my hand up straight away and was delighted to hear that I could have a spot on the Monday. I did pop up cards. Graphic 45 have put my instructions into a pdf file that you can down load and I have copied the link. Jane's Pop up Baby Card please note that it is a 1.4MB file.
  7.  For CHA the design team was asked to make a tag. Here is some photo's of mine.
  8. This is the front of my tag, it is a mini Booklet.
The inside with a favorite photo of my girls

A close up of the detail, love the peacock feather from Imaginairum Designs.
