Just Love Graphic 45

I have had the most amazing 3 days in Brisbane. I got to meet Diane and Aimee from G45. Two truly beautiful and generous people. I can't express how honoured I am to be on their design team. They had the best booth at the event, and the projects and displays they brought, were out of this world. It was lovely to spend so much time with them both and to hear how the company got started and where it is going. I am delighted to be able to work for them. They brought my book back with them, I got quite emotional holding it again. It was great to see the interest it created. I also had the fun of showing it to Lynette Caroll (one of my Hero's). Dianne is going to arrange for my book to be published in an American magazine! They also found a space for some of my layouts to be displayed on their booth. It was so funny to have people wanting to have their photo taken with me. I met Ladies from our two Aussie scrapbooking magazines who want me to send work to them . Diane has some work for me to do, which I will share later on, so its all happening and all thanks to Graphic 45!
Nat is doing a post of our time in Brisbane on the shop blog tomorrow. I will put some more photos on my blog tomorrow.
thanks for looking
Jane
PS In the second photo of Aimee, to the right of the photo is one of my books. This one is titled Norm and is one I made for my Dad.

Too much Creativity
I always have the urge to move things around after I have done a big project. I'm not sure why. I put it down to having some creativity left over. It drives the staff mad as I end up shifting the shop around. With 4 days off over Easter, it was a too greater opportunity to miss. So I shifted the shop around. I wish I had taken a photo of how it looked when I left it tonight. The shop part looks great, workroom not so good, with every flat surface covered with stuff. I hoping the fairy's work over time tonight. So Kathy and Nat I know what you are doing tomorrow! The good news for all of my customers, is that I have a table of embellishments, stickers and rubons with 40% off. I also have 12 racks of paper for $0.50, $0.80 and $1.00 per sheet. Sale starts Tuesday 9am until sold out.

Now we Wait
I know my project has arrived at Graphic 45. Now we wait, I keep telling myself I only have to wait two weeks to find out if I made it through. I'm not good at waiting. So it's going to be a long two weeks. I am delighted to have made it to the second round so what ever the outcome, I am happy. I love the project I sent them and hope they like it too. Its always hard to know what to make as you don't really know what the people judging are looking for. Any way its out of my hands now. I dug up another of my older layouts for you. This one has photos of Josh & Malc taken at Sea World on the Gold Coast. I hate the rides, but they loved them. I spent the day taking photos and waiting at the bottom of nearly every ride there.
It's still missing one small photo of the kids + husband on the Bermuda triangle ride. I must confess to have a thing about clocks and time pieces. On this page I have stamped and embossed some and even added a watch class with clock bits floating around inside it (top right hand corner).
Well it's time to start working on the new time table and newsletter - so back to work.
Thanks for looking and keep in touch. Hopefully there will be some great news on the 2/4/10

My Graphic 45 Project has left!
My final piece for the Graphic 45 design team final challenge has just left. I have spent the past 6 days working on it. It's all top secret, so I can't disclose what it is just yet. Some of you may have been lucky enough to see me working on it. Keep it a secret, just between ourselves.
Once the 1st of April has passes and I find out if I made it, I will have some photos to share. I am really happy with it and can say it is my best work to date. I thought it would be hard to part with as I don't get it back. But I am glad that I will get to share it with a whole lot of lovely ladies in the states. I know from looking at photos from CHA that they must use some of the projects they receive for displays at the show.
Who knows maybe I'll look one year and see my project on display there.
Wish me luck

Black and Blue all over!
I have been pinching myself all day, since reading a post on my blog from Scrapsister. This was the first I knew that I had made it to the second round for Graphic 45's design team. So excited and a bit over whelmed. Congratulations to the other 19 ladies

Special thanks to the Graphic 45 ladies/Gents? who looked at my work and kindly put me into the the top 20. Another pinch, still can't believe it. Well no matter what the out come is I feel very special and honored to be in such great company with so many other talented Ladies. Still waiting to hear what the final project is to be. Itching to get started on it, as I have to have mine in USA in a couple of weeks time. Then another wait till April to find out who the lucky Ladies are. So putting my feet back on the ground and head out of the clouds, - I taught two classes today. The first was my 7G Printers tray using K&Co's Blossomwood paper/Embellishments. I will be repeating this class later in the year. Note the bird's nest - hand made!

And in keeping with my promise to post some of my old projects! Here is a set of 7g Draws I made for Kate. First draw is for age 0-5, second draw for 6-10 and the third draw ages 11-15. Each one has a set of cards with photos and journaling.

Its Graphic 45 Time
Graphic 45 have had their design team call close this week. I love their papers, so I just had to have a go. I needed to send photos of 10 projects by 1st of march. I have done 5 layouts, a box with an album with photos of Leah and Stewarts wedding inside it. I did a mini book using one of their 8x8 pads and a 7Gypiesy book on Joshua. I made another of my books which is to be on my Dad. I also did a 12x12 piece called "patch work of my Family" using lots of my collection squares. Very happy with all the pieces. Now we just wait and see.

Every couple of days I am going to start putting up some of my favorite older layouts. I have 100's of layouts and would love to share some with you, so keep in touch. If you like what you see, then think about going a Jane's Page Class at the shop!
thanks
Jane
