Teaching in Brisbane early Febuary

Hi Everyone
I'm very excited to be invited to teach at Workshop Wonders Sunday February 7th.
Before and after the event, I will be teaching at 4 Scrapbooking Stores in Queensland. I have listed the stores below along with their details. I have also put a sneak peek in for each class, Some of the stores have limited seats so you will need to book in early. Please contact the stores directly to secure your space. It will be a busy 5 days as I will be teaching 10 classes, all different projects. Some stores are hosting 3 classes in a day and some 2 classes. I will be doing 2 different card classes, 3 different off the page projects, 5 different layouts and even a mixed media canvas. It's going to be amazing and I am really looking forward to teaching in Brisbane early February it as I will not be at the Brisbane Scrapbooking and Papercraft expo in June this year due to another commitment.

I love making Cards and these circle front easel cards are really something special. Once you know the trick to making them - there are so many possibilities. I have a set of two beautiful Easel cards for this class. Using Graphic 45 papers from the Mon Amour collection, these cards will be perfect for a very special engagement or wedding.

Lazy Summer Days
Off the page projects are great fun to make. I designed the chipboard billboard used in this class a few years ago, and I still love the concept. Billboards can be used to display or celebrate many different events. I have done ones for Wedding, Babies, Christmas, Females and Males. This one is to celebrate Lazy Summer Days of which, here in Australia, we have lots of. Learn how to combine traditional scrapbooking techniques like making a frame around a page and mixed media elements.

It's a great way to learn lots of techniques. This class you will be using, masks, texture paste, distress sprays and paints, embossing powder, mica flakes, silk glazes, chipboard and much much more. Be prepared to get dirty in this class, so come prepared.

 Victorian Tags
I love making tags, they are more substantial than a card and can be tied to a present or just hung. They are great fun to make and the two I have to share with you, have a real vintage feel to them. You will be using lots of gorgeous vintage style bits and pieces to decorate your tags.  If you enjoy card making then try tag making.

Mon Amour Cards

Hello Everyone
Graphic 45 are sharing some cards I made using their lovely "Mon Amour" collection.
I decided to share them here too.

As soon as I saw my bundle of Mon Amour paper I knew I wanted to make lots of projects using this collection.

The first project I used it for was my Graphic 45 cards. I have a group of Ladies who join me each month for my card class and I like to challenge them.  I decided to make two circle easel cards.

Circle Easel Cards are quite simple to make. All you do is make a regular easel card, but cut a circle for the front of your card rather than a square. I chose some lovely lace for the edge of my circle just to neaten up the edge.

There are so many wonderful images in this collection and one of the great things about cards is the fact that you can fussy cut lots of bits and pieces and layer them on your card.

I cut lots of roses and leaves from Dearest Darling, along with images from My Beloved. It was just a case of working out how everything would fit on my card and filling any bits in with more roses and leaves. I just added some chipboard from Imaginarium Designs and metals from Seriously Scrapbooking to finish my cards.
